Brent Borup’s beautiful artwork

After being laid off from an engineering firm in 2009, Brent Borup decided it was the prime opportunity to pursue a dream he’d had all his life: art.

To describe the process it takes to create his art, Brent coined the term “Digital Mixed Media.” It involves an interesting combination of photography, oil painting, drawing, scanning, 3D modeling, tracing, digital alteration, and merging/morphing.

The result is a gorgeous display of accents and splashes of color, and his subjects are mainly inspirational as well as patriotic. We have a table with his work on display up front in the LDS department.
