Glory! and MOTAB Dresses

Raise the roof with Glory! Music of Rejoicing by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Their latest CD includes selections from Henry V to Peter Pan. Many arrangements are by the beloved Mack Wilburg.

And… while we were touring the MOTAB website, we came across a fabulous article all about the dresses the women in the choir wear at every performance. Did you know that each dress is made to last about 20 years, and the LDS Church orders 2,000 yards of fabric whenever they come out with a new style? Also, over a decade ago the wardrobe committee did away with factory-made creations and now sews all 200 dresses themselves. Whew! Now that’s a lot of sewing.
