Kevin Olson – Off to a “Perfect Start”: The First Year of Piano Study

Off to a “Perfect Start”: The First Year of Piano Study Teaching the beginning piano student is an exciting, and sometimes intimidating, challenge for the private teacher, as we carefully balance a comprehensive introduction to the language of music and the physical approach to piano playing in a positive environment that keeps lessons fun and motivational. With so many concepts to focus on, what should our priorities be? In this dynamic showcase, Dr. Kevin Olson will focus on the first-year student, presenting some of the newest elementary-level FJH publications, including the innovative new series The Perfect Start, the brand-new preschool piano series Piano Made FUN for the Young™, and Sight Reading & Rhythm Every Day®

In addition, he will present some of the newest solos and arrangements he has written for The FJH Music Company Inc. at a variety of levels.
