Darrin Smith’s popular book made in partnership with the Herald Journal, How Beautiful: A Pictorial History on the Logan Temple, now has a companion documentary DVD! Taking even more photos from his extensive research on the Logan Temple, Darrin narrates and voice actors play parts of historic figures to tell the history of Cache Valley’s icon. Intended to be one of three parts, this first DVD shows what went into the planning and building of the temple. An excellent gift for anyone who grew up around Cache Valley or is interested in temple history.
Darrin will be at the Book Table on March 23 from 12-3 p.m. to sign copies of his work and chat about his latest venture with those who stop by. Come see!

While you’re in the store, check out Darrin’s other book, Logan Reflections. It features photos of “then and now” all around Logan. And, if you have not read Kenneth Godfrey’s Logan Utah: A 150-Year History yet, you are in for a treat. It was our best seller last Christmas. And, of course, Nolan Olsen’s Logan Temple: the First 100 Years is a classic brought back to life by a recent re-printing.
